Who Does the Work

Our office sits at 111 E Wisconsin Ave, right near Westown and Juneau Town downtown, so if you're in that stretch of the city you can stop in during business hours instead of waiting on a callback. Most calls we take are about a door that won't open, a spring that let go, or an opener that's making noise it shouldn't.
We ask a few questions on the phone first: what the door is doing, how old the house is, whether it's a torsion or extension spring setup. That's usually enough to know what parts to bring before a truck ever leaves. We don't do sales pitches over the phone.
We tell you what we think is wrong, what it costs to check, and let you decide from there. If you're calling about something outside garage doors, we'll say so plainly rather than take the job anyway.
The Work We Take On
We work on the doors, springs, openers, tracks, cables, rollers, and panels that make up a residential garage door system. A lot of what we see traces back to the age of the housing here - homes across this area were mostly built between 1938 and 2000, with a lot of that stock going up in the 1960s and 70s across the 38-plus neighborhoods we cover. That means original hardware, older torsion setups, and openers that have outlived their manufacturer support.
Winters here are genuinely hard on a garage door: the cold-severe climate band this area sits in means metal contracts, lubricant thickens, and a marginal spring or worn cable is more likely to fail on a January morning than a mild fall afternoon. We handle broken springs, bent tracks, off-track doors, opener replacement, and panel damage. What we don't do is drywall, structural framing repair, or anything past the door and its hardware - if that's what you need, we'll tell you upfront instead of taking the job and figuring it out later.
What Comes Next
After you call, we talk through what's happening with the door and get a rough sense of the fix before anyone drives out. For a broken spring or an opener that's dead, that's usually enough to bring the right parts the first trip. For anything less obvious - a door that's noisy but still working, or intermittent opener trouble - we look at it in person before quoting a fix, because guessing over the phone wastes your time and ours.
Once we're at the house, we walk you through what we found, what it takes to fix it, and what it costs before we start. If a repair doesn't make sense against the age or condition of the door, we'll say that too rather than patch something that's going to fail again in a year. We don't push replacement on a door that just needs a spring, and we don't recommend a repair on a door that's past it.

We're based downtown near Westown and Juneau Town, and from there we cover the surrounding neighborhoods and nearby communities: Avenues West, Menomonee Valley, Harambee, Old North Milwaukee, Riverwest, Lower East Side, Historic Third Ward, Silver Spring, and Northpoint, along with Wauwatosa, West Milwaukee, Shorewood, Glendale, and Whitefish Bay, all within about 4 to 5 miles. Further out we reach Elm Grove, Butler, Fox Point, Greenfield, Brown Deer, River Hills, St.
Francis, Greendale, Bayside, and Hales Corners, roughly 6 to 9 miles from downtown, and we'll go as far as Mequon, Thiensville, Franklin, Sussex, Pewaukee, Germantown, Lisbon, Muskego, Cedarburg, and Grafton for the right job.
